The Opportunity

We’re looking for an Account Manager to join the existing team. You’ll be predominantly focused on the meat and savoury sector, being responsible for a handful of key customers worth around £3m, but with the potential to grow to two or even three times that amount under the right stewardship. You’ll be home-based, with most of the customers in the north of England and Scotland. You’ll build key relationships with Buyers, NPD teams and Marketing teams to fully penetrate your customers – in a business that is well known for best in class customer service.

Whilst autonomy and entrepreneurialism are strongly encouraged in this company, you’ll also have the full support of an experienced line manager that is very highly regarded and known for taking people to the next rung on the career ladder.

What You Need

Some B2B sales experience in the food ingredients sector is an absolute must. We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate success in an Account Manager or Technical Sales role, who is ready for the next step – we’d see this as an ideal second or third job for someone who has perhaps gained a technical understanding as part of an NPD team before getting a taste for sales. You must be based in the northern half of the UK, with a driving license. You’ll be able to demonstrate your commercial savviness through strong sales figures and examples of winning or growing food processing/manufacturing customers.
