Top quality. Unique. Innovative. Premium. These are just some of the words that have been used to describe our client’s product range. Selling ingredients into high-end establishments across South East England, the business has a reputation that needs no introduction. There’s now a rare opening for a Commercial Manager to further the company’s grip on the market.
We’re looking for a sales person who can demonstrate a successful track record (at least a couple of years) of building relationships with prestigious clients. Your customers will typically be small manufacturers of premium food products – an artisan biscuit maker, for example, or a cutting-edge chocolatier. In order to show your value, you’ll need to know the products inside out, so you’ll have to be technically minded to work with stakeholders including NPD teams, as well as Purchasing and Marketing departments. Perhaps you have a background as a chef before going into a more commercial role, for example.
This is an opportunity for a real foodie to represent a company that is very well known in this highly coveted field. We’re looking for someone who knows their way around the London food scene, who will be credible in front of business owners and senior decision makers, all of whom will naturally have a lot of pride in their product offering. Ultimately, however much of a foodie you are, this is about business, so you’ll have a nose for seeking out gaps in the market, as well as growing existing customers by recognising new opportunities.
This is a field-based role with travel to customers throughout London and the South of England.
