It’s great when we’re recruiting a role because someone’s been promoted. That’s the case here, so we’re looking for a Key Account Manager who can demonstrate success in managing and growing a complex, multi-site customer. For this one, the client doesn’t mind what area of ingredients or flavours you’ve worked in previously, because you can learn all about this specific field – what’s key is being able to show growth in a multi-million pound B2B customer.

This role provides a really unique challenge. You’ll manage 2 accounts. The first is a long-established key customer, to which the business provides great NPD support and as such, has a fantastic relationship and year-on-year sales growth to show it. The customer has multiple sites, both in the UK and in Europe, owning multiple brands, so we’re looking for a creative, strategic Account Manager who can build on the great work that’s already been done here.

Secondly, you’ll also be responsible for growing an account which is very much in its infancy, but which is at a crucial stage and has the potential to explode in the next few years. This customer has put some serious money into a number of projects with our client, and now we’re at the point where these are just starting to hit the shelves, so it’s a very exciting time. Again, you’ll need to be an entrepreneurial type of person to really capitalize on the work that’s been done, to open more and more doors in this complex account.

This is a business which gives a big amount of autonomy and really values its employees.
