Artisan Du Chocolat is “the Bentley of chocolate”, according to someone who knows a thing or two about food – Gordon Ramsay. Just like Heston Blumenthal at The Fat Duck, Gordon is a long-standing customer, and the sort of discerning chef who won’t settle for second best. Enjoy that kind of pressure? If not, let’s leave it there.
Still reading? Good. Here’s the exciting bit then. With a new Chairman in place who knows the luxury chocolate market inside out, and ambitious plans to treble the size of the company in the next five years, there’s an opportunity here for a career-orientated Production Manager to make a massive impact on the business moving forward.
What’s in it for you? Well, plenty of influence, for one. A second factory is coming soon, and as such, you’ll play a key part in ensuring it’s utilised to its maximum potential. New processes and new ways of doing things need to be identified and implemented – think lean manufacturing, longer term scheduling, driving KPIs, scaling lines, upskilling your team…there’s so much to get your teeth into here, we simply can’t cover it all on a one page ad.
Needless to say, with the ambitious plans and the significant investment they’re making at the company, there’s going to be big opportunities to advance your career as your responsibilities grow and the size of the team grows beneath you.
What are we looking for? The big thing, the thing we simply can’t do without, is chocolate experience. After that, we’re looking for someone who has shown good progression in their career to date, and it’s likely that you’ll have been operating at Production Manager level for at least a couple of years now. You’re going to be tested on a daily basis when it comes to equipment and innovation problems, so you need to be able to think on your feet and enjoy working autonomously – there’s no hand-holding here, there’s genuine responsibility from day one.
If that sounds appealing to you, let’s have a chat and we’ll go into a lot more detail. We’re aware that the factory isn’t exactly surrounded by other chocolate producers, which is why there will be relocation support on offer, if needed.
