There aren’t many companies out there holding better cards up their sleeve than this business. Having completed a number of acquisitions in the past few years, they’re now building a new manufacturing site in mainland Europe. They already have a very strong reputation in the savoury market, selling bespoke ingredient systems to manufacturers and food service companies across the globe.
Now, they’re looking to increase their market share in key markets. Germany is the biggest focus, so you need to be based in Germany for this role, and have dealt in a B2B sales role in ingredients there. They have a strong foothold already, so you’ll manage some key accounts, but that’s not enough – we need a proactive person who will get in front of current customers to see what else they might need, and also to open doors with new customers by showcasing what this company has to offer – which is generally much more added value solutions than its competitors who are offering the “off the shelf” solutions.
In addition to Germany, you’ll manage customers across Scandinavia, travelling every couple of months to the region, as well as Austria and Switzerland. It’s vital that you enjoy working from home for a role like this, as your manager will be based in another country, in what is a very multicultural environment. You’ll travel to the UK and further afield to meet other key company figures on a regular basis too.
You’ll have strong support from the Customer Service, New Product Development and Marketing departments, including really quick sample turnarounds. We just need a willingness to be out there in front of customers, and an unrivaled credibility in what is a highly competitive area of the market.
