We all love chocolate, but the way it’s currently produced isn’t sustainable. Climate change is leading to reduced yields, causing spiralling prices and supply-chain uncertainty. As consumers, we’re already seeing the impact of this in the form of rising prices and shrinkflation, and the cacao industry continues to be troubled by issues relating to deforestation and child labour. The industry is at an inflection point and needs alternative solutions that are stable and more economically and environmentally sustainable.

Win-Win cocoa free chocolate alternatives are made using abundant, affordable and sustainable plant-based ingredients such as rice and carob. Win-Win has re-imagined the conventional fermentation process to achieve the same results without the need for cocoa, but utilising traditional chocolate crafting techniques, such as roasting, grinding, refining and tempering to achieve their delicious chocolate-alternative. Win-Win’s products use 80% less water, emit 82% fewer CO2e emissions and are produced at scale in the UK.

Win-Win products look, melt, taste and snap just like the chocolate we all love, and can be used to make a range of sweet treats at scale, including pastries, cakes, cookies, coatings, doughnuts, desserts and more.

The industry response has been exceptional. We’ve won awards – we won ‘Innovation of the Year’ at the recent IFE Manufacturing awards; been backed by industry giants like Mondelēz; featured in innovation showcases with Häagen-Dazs; and have now signed a major DACH distribution deal with Germany’s Martin Braun Backmittel und Essenzen KG.

We’re ready to scale and we need a commercially sharp, mission-driven Head of Business Development to help turn all this momentum into long-term growth.

This role is central to our success. You’ll be responsible for driving revenue by identifying, engaging, and closing deals with food manufacturers, and FMCG companies – experience of this is essential. You’ll spend your time nurturing inbound leads, developing outbound strategies to open new doors, and turning early conversations into strategic partnerships. You’ll guide customers through the entire journey – from initial exploration and product demos to pricing, negotiations, and contract signing.

You’ll work closely with our R&D and Operations teams to make sure that what we deliver fits each partner’s specific needs. That might mean helping a manufacturer reformulate an existing product using our choc, co-developing something new from scratch, or partnering between manufacturer and retailer to co-develop a solution. Every day will be different, and every partnership will require a thoughtful, tailored approach.

This isn’t a plug-and-play sales role. You’ll need to be an FMCG expert and a strong solutions-based seller – someone who listens deeply, understands complex needs, and can co-create the right answers. You’ll be engaging across multiple levels of an organisation, often with technical or innovation teams, and navigating high-stakes, high-value commercial decisions.
