We’re looking for a Senior Engineering Manager for a major food ingredients supplier in northern Europe. If you’re ready to relocate for a very good quality of life, a picturesque location with some great weekend outdoor adventures and of course, an incredible career opportunity, then we’re happy to accept applications from anyone in the EU for this position.

This could be a career-defining role. With massive investment happening at the site, you’ll be spearheading some major projects, combining project engineering and process improvement. With a huge sustainability angle here, this isn’t the sort of challenge you’ll readily find elsewhere – you’ll also be instrumental in shifting the entire site away from gas and onto an electric energy supply, which will mean interaction with government authorities, neighbouring businesses and many other key stakeholders.

You’ll manage a large team and whilst there’s some real talent there, there needs to be a bigger focus on yield improvement and cost reduction, so we’ll be looking for a leader who has the ability to upskill experienced Engineers – by the time you’re promoted, we want your successor to be picked from within the business!

The successful candidate here will be degree-educated in an engineering discipline, with significant project management experience. English is essential; a willingness to take lessons in the local language will also be needed. Your technical ability will be crucial too – you’ll work with your counterparts internally to ensure all relevant standards are complied with and you’ll set targets for Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality performance.

Finally, here’s the kicker. We’ll need to see evidence that you’ve thrived in a major international food ingredients, fine chemicals, brewery or pharmaceutical manufacturer. Any experience outside of that will unfortunately not be considered, given the remit of this role and the processes involved.

If you’re ready for a new adventure, apply now and we’ll arrange a conversation to tell you more.
