All phrases to be used to describe this brand which, through the passion and commitment of its inspirational founder, has already grown into a £MM revenue business in just a couple of years.

Operating in the world of Healthy Snacking and Desserts, they already have listings in Ocado, H&B and Waitrose, and they’ll be launching 6 SKUs into Tesco (1500 stores) later this month.

In line with the government agenda on sugar and obesity reduction, they’re also due to launch in 1000’s of schools through listings with Compass Group, Brakes and Blakemore.

There is truly nothing out there like this now, presenting a real white space of opportunity.

But the founder can’t do this alone, so we’re supporting them to build their team and, alongside a new Head of Sales and Brand Manager, they are recruiting for an ambitious and outgoing Head of Operations.

This position will play a critical role in strategic decision making and maximising overall business efficiency. Empowerment is key to their culture, and they will give you full ownership as the brand’s “smooth operator”.

You’ll be using your skills in Ops and Supply Chain to further develop supplier relationships and lead on negotiations and contracts, overseeing all aspects of the supply chain from procurement to transportation and warehousing.

As their first hire in Ops, it’ll be a wild ride, especially in the early days as you get to grips ensuring that the company is meeting its on time and in full delivery commitments, whilst optimising inventory to reduce costs and improve efficiencies.

Working closely with the founder, they want you to have say on projects such as cost optimisation around products and packaging development, as well as leading the process around sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

Sounds like a lot? Fear not… they want you to hire and lead a team of supply chain professionals to help you achieve the company’s goals.

Clearly this is not a role for a novice. But they’ll flex where they can. You’ll need to have had prior experience in a branded FMCG business, ideally a start-up, showing a clear proven track record of success in a similar role. We’re open minded as to whether you are already at Head of Ops level or an Ops Manager ready to take the next step in your career.

The salary for this is up to £85k base plus equity and benefits. For all you pooch lovers out there they have a central London, dog friendly office so feel free to bring Benji/Rex/Fido to work with you!
