New role, new function, new start. Are you the person to make this happen?

Having reached a size where outsourced HR support is no longer enough, we’re now looking for an HR Specialist for this rapidly growing business in the nutrition space.

Based in Runcorn, we’re open to this being a full time or a part time position – if the part time option is attractive to you, we’d like to see significant experience of driving change.

Here’s some of the challenges that will face you in this role:

• With outsourced production being brought in-house for the first time, you’ll drive blue-collar recruitment, acting as the point of contact with local staffing agencies
• You’ll establish processes and procedures for the warehouse, including setting clear methodologies for disciplinary actions
• You’ll manage the monthly payroll
• For the office-based staff, you’ll ensure that managers have been given the training they require and you’ll help to identify high performers who have the potential to step up into managerial positions
• You’ll act as a confidante for anyone who wants to air grievances or who requires some advice

To be considered for this role, you’ll have 5+ years as an HR Specialist/Manager/Business Partner for a manufacturing organisation (ideally with some exposure to the FMCG sector), supporting both white and blue collar operations. You’ll have the experience to set up processes from scratch, have sound knowledge of employment law and be a hands-on operator who will do whatever it takes to make your HR function a real force for good in the business. Whilst the outsourced support will still be there if required, this is an opportunity to really mark your mark in establishing a new function for a business that’s ready to implement your ideas.
