Sweet & Beverage Flavourist
- Are you an experienced flavourist who thrives in a close-knit, supportive, family-style environment, where your work is valued, and your ideas are heard?
- Want a high level of autonomy and creative freedom, outside of a corporate lab environment?
- Want to work in a business that’s growing (15–20% year-on-year), and holds a strong reputation in the industry?
- Are you striving to develop into a Senior or Principal Flavourist?
- Would you like access to external training, conferences, and university programs to support your professional growth?
We’re looking for a talented Sweet & Beverage Flavourist to join our clients flavour creation team. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where you’ll have the autonomy to innovate, collaborate, and make a genuine impact on a company that values craftsmanship, quality, and people over corporate formality.
About the Role
You’ll be joining a small but dynamic R&D creation team, currently made up of flavourists and process specialists working closely together to craft outstanding liquid sweet flavours, from classic profiles like raspberry, strawberry, vanilla, and biscoff, to more imaginative “blue sky” briefs – your creativity will take centre stage.
You’ll work directly with customers, the sales team, and the process department to turn ideas into successful, market-ready products.
What You’ll Do
- Create and develop liquid sweet and beverage flavours, including those designed for spray drying.
- Work on creative concept flavours and customer briefs from ideation through to delivery.
- Match existing flavours using sensory skills or analytical reports from third-party services.
- Collaborate closely with the sales and process teams and take part in customer meetings and presentations.
- Help shape and influence the company’s flavour direction as it continues to grow.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a flavourist
- Proven ability to create and match sweet and/or beverage flavours independently
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a small team.
- Strong sensory and creative skills – able to interpret complex briefs and turn them into successful flavours.
- Experience reading and interpreting analytical reports (GCMS data provided by third parties).
- Personable and adaptable – someone who will fit naturally into a family-oriented, collaborative company culture.
Key Performance Indicators
- Successful delivery of innovative and high-quality new flavours.
- Accurate and timely flavour matching.
- Effective collaboration across teams and with customers.
- Smooth integration into the company’s creative and family-style environment.
Additional Details
- Travel: Occasional customer visits and off-site meetings required.
- Interviews: Initial conversations can be held remotely or off-site, with a second-stage visit to tour the lab and meet the team.
- Start Date: Flexible. From immediate availability through to early next year.
If you’re a flavourist who’s passionate about creation, collaboration, and working in a genuinely supportive environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Apply today to join a company where great flavours, and great people, truly thrive.
